Raitah Jinnat is a Copy Chief for ‘The Science Survey.' To Raitah, journalism is a tool for amplifying underrepresented voices and narrating stories with important messages. Journalistic photography for Raitah is a way to accompany these stories through capturing a moment in time. As a varsity member of the Speech team doing Original Oratory, Raitah knows the power of one's voice. Raitah writes for the digital magazine 'Girl Genius,' aimed towards young women interested in the STEM field. Raitah is additionally passionate about the intersections between healthcare and technology. Raitah would also like to become a physician and harness these skills in order to give back to the community while helping patients.

For example, hundreds of computers at Bronx Science that are currently turned off, have not been used in months, and help to contribute to a decrease in energy consumption nationwide.
