Victoria Diaz is a Staff Reporter for ‘The Science Survey’ and a People Section Reporter for ‘The Observatory.’ She believes that journalism is important in order to share ideas and knowledge to the general public to allow them to be informed and educated about current events. She also believes that photography acts as a perfect compliment to journalistic writing, as it gives context to the subject and setting that is being written about. Victoria has a passion for cultural studies, which she supplements through her role as Event Planner for the Vivo Latino club. She also enjoys creative writing, activism, yoga, R&B music and Jamaican food. Her favorite authors are Rupi Kaur and Toni Morrison. Victoria plans on studying english and social science in college in order to pursue careers in writing and academia.
