The Science Survey

Saamiya Ahmed
Saamiya Ahmed is the Athletics Editor for ‘The Observatory’ and a Staff Reporter for ‘The Science Survey.’ She likes journalistic writing because of the impact that it can have on large groups of people at a time. She wants to use journalism to leave lasting impacts on others and to introduce them to new ideas. Saamiya believes that photography can help convey these ideas and show them in motion. Some of Saamiya’s hobbies are drawing and painting and being a part of the Painting Club and the school stage crew. Saamiya is also currently a member of the Girls’ Varsity Gymnastics team. She also loves the French countryside and reading fantasy novels. When Saamiya goes to college, she wants to study psychiatry and psychology and eventually become a doctor or surgeon. She also wants to incorporate journalism into her career by writing for scientific journals and possibly newspapers. Ten years from now, she will most likely be in medical school preparing to become a doctor.
