Saamiya Ahmed, Staff Reporter

Saamiya Ahmed is an Editor-in-Chief for ‘The Science Survey.’ They see journalism as a way to educate others and to help brighten readers’ days with fun and interesting articles. Saamiya believes that photography plays a crucial role in journalism by helping bring stories and concepts to life. Their hobbies include drawing and writing, and they also tutor elementary school kids. Saamiya loves playing video games like Minecraft and reading mythology. They also plan to study cognitive science and conduct research in child development in college. They want to incorporate journalism into their career by writing for scientific journals and possibly newspapers. Ten years from now, they will most likely be starting a job in the research field.
