The Science Survey

Darlene Park
Darlene Park is a Features Editor for ‘The Science Survey’ and a Groups Section reporter for ‘The Observatory.’ As a Features Editor, she overviews and edits articles covering interesting individuals or groups. She is intrigued how in journalistic writing there is no right or wrong and everyone is given the opportunity to share their interest. As the co-president of the Photography Club, she has always been fascinated how a photograph in itself could tell a story. Ever since she was in preschool, she has kept a photo-diary where she takes a photo everyday and writes a short caption underneath. Her love for journalism and photography grew ever since then. When not in class, she enjoys taking photos, drawing, and simply spending time in nature. She is also an aspiring fashion journalist and designer and has been building her brand outside of school. She plans to study photojournalism in the future. She wishes to continue her studies outside of Bronx Science and hopes to incorporate them to establish her brand in the future.
