The Science Survey

Darya Lollos
Darya Lollos is a Managing Editor for the ‘Science Survey’ and an Academics reporter for ‘The Observatory’. Journalism within Bronx Science keeps students informed of recent events within the school as well as on the global scale, and writing for the ‘Science Survey’ enables Darya to contribute to this network and share her opinions with the student body. To Darya, the most appealing thing about taking photographs that tell a story is that the photographer is able to experience what is happening, so they are able to not only tell the story through the picture, but also understand the context behind it. Darya continues her commitment to journalism at Bronx Science as the Director of Wolverine TV and with her community segment, Dive in With Darya. After school, Darya plays volleyball, and is captain of the Bronx Science Girls’ Varsity Volleyball team. She also plays on a travel volleyball team with NYC Juniors 18 National. In her free time, she enjoys reading, listening to music, and bingeing TV with her mom.
