Margaux Reyl, Staff Reporter
Margaux Reyl is a Copy Chief for ‘The Science Survey.' As Copy Chief, Margaux is in charge of the second round of edits for many ‘Science Survey’ articles. Her second year on staff, Margaux hopes to continue informing readers about current issues at Bronx Science and across the globe, especially during such an unprecedented year. She likes telling stories through journalistic writing as well as the connection that being on the Journalism staff provides with the school community. She believes that journalistic writing is important because it holds people accountable for their actions, keeps the public informed, and exposes the experiences of marginalized groups. Margaux spends her time engaging with her community and being politically active. This summer, she interned for Dine For Democracy, an organization fighting to protect the vote. Outside of the classroom, Margaux is a tutor for struggling elementary school students on the weekends, the captain of the Bronx Science Swim team as well as the Flag Football team, an active member of the Current Events forum club, and a prolific and wide reader.
