The Science Survey

Samira Ashif
Samira Ashif, a senior in her third year of Journalism, is a Staff Reporter for ‘The Science Survey’ and a People Section editor for ‘The Observatory.’ Her work includes reflecting the concerns of the student body through both writing and photography, in a distinctive way. Samira believes that photography is a powerful tool for delivering news, and that every superb photo is capable of ‘speaking’ on its own. To her, what is most appealing about journalistic writing is how it can provide an alternate perspective by conveying the different points of views of a story. Outside of school, she enjoys drawing and painting.
