The Science Survey

Caleb Yam
Caleb Yam is the News Editor for ‘The Science Survey’ and an Athletics Section Reporter for ‘The Observatory.’ He enjoys journalistic writing because it allows for the open and concise expression of a story through different lenses. He believes in the importance of journalistic photography, allowing the ability to tell an entire story from a single moment captured in time. The raw and emotional expression of a photo is valuable to the understanding of the world and people around us. Caleb is an active member of the school’s Varsity Fencing team and the Asian American Association. Outside of school, he volunteers for various educational and social organizations, and likes to try new places to eat, listen to music, and take long walks in nature. He intends to pursue political science and economics in college. Caleb hopes to continue to help the people around him by working in a non-profit or community organization dealing with social and political causes.
