The Science Survey

Brian Katanov
Brian Katanov is an Arts and Entertainment Section Editor for ‘The Science Survey’ and a Groups Staff Reporter for ‘The Observatory.’ He was drawn to journalistic writing because he believes in the importance of the free press and wants to be a part of the exchange of information, even at a high school level. Journalistic photography further gives him a chance to tell these stories, and in an age where distrust in the media is at its highest, it allows him a medium to express the news with indisputable scrutiny. Brian is also an avid cook, and he prepares meals for himself and his family. He hopes to study computer science in college, and eventually move on to a career in the securities industry, and possibly start his own business, using his journalistic experience to design his website and draw in clients.
