Hugo Lefer is a News Editor for ‘The Science Survey,’ where he covers a range of news topics. He believes that journalism should be used as an unbiased tool to communicate key current events that shape the world around us; in his eyes, writing is a tool to disseminate general information, not to pick and choose information in a way that pushes a certain agenda. After enjoying a rigorous photography class, Hugo has developed a strong interest in photography that has persisted ever since. Outside of journalism, he loves sports,and is part of the Boys’ Varsity Fencing and Indoor Track teams at Bronx Science. Hugo is also a classical pianist and really enjoys playing chamber music. In college, Hugo plans on majoring in math with a minor in political science, hoping to incorporate his advanced math skills with real world issues.
