Amanda Ro is the Editor-in-Chief for The Science Survey. Amanda appreciates the power of journalism as it provides a window into the world, sharing hidden stories, expressing multiple voices, and capturing unique moments. She is especially interested in writing art reviews, as an artist herself, she is fascinated by the art world, and feature articles because they allow her to blend storytelling with new insights about interesting places and ideas. She also enjoys taking her own photos for her articles to capture and share the beauty of a moment. Amanda runs for the Bronx Science Girls’ Varsity Track team, is Copy Chief for the REACTIONS Physical Science Journal, and is a Big Sibs Director. Recently, she was a Production intern at The Brooklyn Rail, where she published a review of an art gallery. Currently, she is a Bloomberg Arts Intern and a Communication Intern at the Asian American Art Alliance. Other hobbies in which Amanda frequently engages are reading, painting, drawing, writing, listening to music, and traveling the world. In college, Amanda hopes to study both journalism and science.
