Allegra Lief, Staff Reporter
Allegra Lief is a Sports Editor for the ‘Science Survey’ and is responsible for editing her peers' sports articles prior to publication. Allegra has always recognized the value of journalistic writing in shedding light on untouched truths and allowing readers to connect with cultures and pressing topics that would otherwise not be in their orbit. She believes that good photos are just as crucial to the development of a journalistic piece as the words. Photos personalize the people discussed and help bring to life the complex emotions and storylines discussed. In her free time, Allegra loves to debate, play soccer as a member of the Bronx Science Girls' Varsity Soccer team, and read. Some of her favorite novels include ‘Jane Eyre’ by Charlotte Bronte, ‘Normal People’ by Sally Rooney, ‘Little Women’ by Louisa May Alcott, and ‘Life of Pi’ by Yann Martel. Allegra has a passion for hiking and travel, and just last summer went on a backpacking trip to Iceland that she absolutely loved. While Allegra is not quite sure what she would like to study in college just yet, she would love to pursue something in political science, law, or journalism, all of which she finds fascinating.
