About the Contributors
Allegra Lief, Staff Reporter
Allegra Lief is an Editor-in-Chief and an art critic for ‘The Science Survey,’ and is responsible for the review and revision of her peers’ articles prior to publication. Through her writing, Allegra aims to report on broader political trends through hard hitting news pieces and editorials, and convey her love of art by reviewing relevant art exhibitions throughout the city. She relishes the chance to share her perspective and directly connect with readers – influencing them to engage with opportunities, like seeing an art exhibition, or through reading about pressing topics that would otherwise not be in their orbit. Allegra also finds great value in photojournalism and its unique power to capture intricate details and complex emotions through visuals, in a way that words alone cannot. Beyond writing for ‘The Science Survey,’ Allegra is also the President of the Legal Society and is on the Girls’ Varsity Soccer Team. In her free time, you can find Allegra curled up with a good book, walking around the city with friends, or exploring an art museum or gallery with anyone who will accompany her. While her interests remain diverse, Allegra plans to study International Relations, Political Science, and Art History in college. Regardless of her future career path, Allegra hopes to intertwine her love of journalism with anything she might pursue.
