Sophia Xian, Arts & Entertainment Editor & Staff Reporter
Sophia Xian is the Arts and Entertainment Editor and for the Science Survey and a Staff Reporter for the Observatory. She is also the monthly crossword creator, and co-writes an advice column for every issue. For Sophia, the most appealing aspect of journalistic writing is being able to receive authentic opinions of current events from interviewing others. She enjoys photography, because she’s able to delve into a situation through multiple perspectives. Outside of journalism, she’s on the Varsity Fencing and Varsity Gymnastics teams at Bronx Science. Her favorite shows are Friends, How I Met Your Mother, and Grey’s Anatomy. In the future, Sophia hopes to continue her passion for journalistic reporting.
