Ellen Wu is a Copy Chief for ‘The Science Survey’ newspaper. She enjoys journalistic writing because it allows her to gain a multitude of perspectives while being able to indulge on her own. She finds journalistic writing to be unique because it allows you to tell a story and to paint a picture, through the use of words. Ellen has always loved writing ever since she was a little kid, and she frequently finds herself journaling during her own free time as well. Ellen also loves taking pictures and learning about photography because photos allow you to capture an important moment and keep it as a memory forever. Journalistic photography is special because it can add so much to an already meaningful story with simple images. Prior to the Coronavirus pandemic, Ellen really loved to travel and she hopes to visit Japan next. She also enjoys just staying home and binging on comfort movies from the early 2000s . In college, while Ellen plans on studying Global Health, and Science & Society in hopes of becoming a Physician's Assistant, she would also like to continue journalistic writing and photography in college.
