Wasif Habib, Staff Reporter
Wasif Habib is a News Editor for ‘The Science Survey.’ He edits articles written by his colleagues in the news section. As a journalist for ‘The Science Survey,’ Wasif has an interest in introducing niche topics and ideas to readers. He personally believes that whether or not a journalist has in-depth knowledge in what they’re reporting, they must place themselves within the context that they are writing about to enrich their writing. Additionally, Wasif believes that journalistic photography is a critical supplement to one’s writing, as a photo that can tell a story can give life to the writing attached to it. Photography also happens to be one of Wasif’s hobbies, along with playing badminton with friends and studying Islam. He believes that photography and Islam can be used to show people the beauty in life. Traveling to Mecca and Medina in Saudi Arabia convinced him of this, due to the hospitality he has given and received. Wasif plans on majoring in MIS, and hopes that one day he can raise money for charity, helping people across the world as well as in his community.
