Soree Park is a Features Section Editor for ‘The Science Survey.’ Through her work editing Features articles and writing her own articles, she has learned more about new topics and ideas, which is what she finds to be the charm of journalistic writing. She finds journalism to be appealing as it distinctively establishes the author’s voice, as she hopes to do the same through her own writing. Although Soree has experimented with photography throughout her life, she finds that journalistic photography is different, as its depth reveals something to the reader that they would not have noticed if they solely read an article. In her free time, Soree loves to read nonfiction and classic books, to paint, and to watch movies. One of her favorite books is ‘Anthem’ by Ayn Rand, her favorite artist is Henri Matisse, and her favorite movie is ‘The Game’. With all of her interests and skills ranging from art to policy advocacy, she sees herself working in the field of law or business in the future.
