Ritika Ramaswamy, Staff Reporter
Ritika Ramaswamy is an Editorial Editor for ‘The Science Survey.’ She combines her enthusiasm for learning about a wide range of topics with her passion for sharing her perspective through journalistic writing and editing. Ritika finds journalistic writing appealing because it provides the opportunity to shed light on and raise awareness about important and sometimes overlooked issues, while educating readers about topics they might not otherwise encounter. She also values how journalistic photography can evoke depth and emotion, and that even a single photograph can capture the beauty and essence of a moment or story, allowing readers to connect with a story in a more meaningful way. Additionally, Ritika is part of the Bronx Science Girls’ Cross Country and Indoor Track teams, and she enjoys running in Central Park with her friends. Outside of school, Ritika loves reading mystery novels, watching true crime documentaries, listening to music, and traveling. She also enjoys volunteering at a nearby church in her community, where she organizes equipment for special events and provides technology help for seniors. In the future, Ritika is considering studying law or psychology, though she is still exploring her options.
