Rashida Kassogue is an Arts and Entertainment Editor for ‘The Science Survey.’ Rashida’s role as an Arts and Entertainment editor is to review, edit, and constructively criticize her colleagues’ articles covering films, artists, photography, and much more. Rashida finds the nuance and research required to write and edit  journalistic pieces to be its most appealing aspect. Rashida also finds that photography is another crucial and interesting aspect of journalism, as it allows journalists to convey a message, not only through writing, but through visuals as well. In her free time, Rashida enjoys reading books and socializing. She particularly enjoys reading dystopian novels. At Bronx Science, Rashida is a member of Lincoln Douglas debate, and she participates in Girls’ Varsity Outdoor Track. In college, Rashida intends to further her education in political science and philosophy, as she finds these majors to be interesting given that they encourage nuanced views on all sorts of issues and topics, which resonates with her own thinking, because Rashida believes that the world isn’t black and white.
