Alexandra Vassiliev is incredibly grateful to be joining the 2025-2026 staff as a Content and Proofreading Editor for ‘The Science Survey’. For Alex, journalism is a vital tool to foster various narratives and perspectives, while emphasizing the importance of every current issue. Since Alex was young, writing has served as a fundamental outlet for her, both for creative and academic projects. She is very passionate about public policy and foreign relations, currently serving as one of two Novice Directors of Bronx Science’s Model United Nations team, and having recently done work researching social issues alongside a Manhattan District Attorney’s spring cohort of Youth Ambassadors. Additionally, Alex loves the performing arts, especially theatre, and has multiple creative hobbies such as writing poetry, painting, and creating music. In college, she hopes to major in English or international relations. Alex’s interests combine with her love for writing, as she is able to share current events in a way that will resonate with a larger audience.
