On a sunny Wednesday afternoon on June 4th, 2025, Bronx Science opened its doors to hundreds of curious seventh graders and their families for Bronx Science’s annual June Open House. With the help of dedicated parent volunteers and enthusiastic student ambassadors, guests explored the school’s vibrant campus, experiencing firsthand the energy and excellence that define Bronx Science. Throughout the building, interactive demonstrations drew excited crowds, showing off the school spirit. In the chemistry labs, students ignited colorful reactions and explained the science behind them. Down the hall, physics demonstrations featured water and sound wave experiments in action.
One of the biggest attractions of the day was the club fair, where student club leaders set up presentations on three-fold posters in the gym, inviting seventh grade families to wander and learn from the leaders. Another big hit was the rooftop planetarium, where astronomy students guided visitors through dazzling digital displays of constellations and space phenomena. Younger visitors especially loved the immersive projections that brought the universe to life in front of them. In the basement, the Holocaust Museum opened its doors, offering tours of our special historical collections. Student leaders answered questions, shared personal stories, and gave future applicants an authentic look into daily life at Bronx Science, creating inspiration for the next generation of high schoolers.
