Wendy Lin, Staff Reporter
Wendy Lin is an Academics Section Editor for ‘The Observatory’ yearbook. She fell in love with photography in sixth grade after taking her very first still-life photo of a daisy with a Canon PowerShot borrowed from her social studies teacher. A camera teaches her to see the extraordinariness of ordinary things. Similarly, she believes journalism is important in its ability to seek out ordinary people and show their humanity through their unique stories. Besides photography, Wendy enjoys cruising around the neighborhood on her skateboard. On a sunny day, she spends hours in the park, lying on the grass and drawing landscapes with her friend. Listening to music is also an indispensable part of her life. She listens to a wide array of music genres and languages, her favorite bands being Spitz and the Cure. Wendy currently wishes to study biology in college and work toward becoming a physician assistant. She will, however, continue to take pictures. In ten years, she sees herself traveling around the United States with her camera.
