Sophie Yang is a People Section Editor for ‘The Observatory’ yearbook and a Staff Reporter for ‘The Science Survey’ newspaper. She finds the storytelling in journalistic writing to be the most appealing aspect of it, as it brings together the stories and life of Bronx Science together through descriptive writing and reporting. She finds journalistic photography to be interesting, as it captures the exact emotions within an image, in order to tell an interesting story. Sophie likes to spend her free time outside of school writing fantasy novels and listening to music. She’s unsure as to what study she will pursue in college, but she is looking into finance and architecture as potential future majors. Sophie sees herself employed in an art or mathematics related career in the future, and hopes to write a novel in her spare time.
