Sam Shapiro is an Editor-in-Chief of The Science Survey and a Groups Section Reporter for The Observatory. He loves journalism because he enjoys learning about what’s going on in the world, and the process of figuring things out. He likes journalistic photography because it helps tell a more complete version of whatever story it accompanies. Outside of school, Sam loves to play basketball, experience all that New York City has to offer, and watch Jeopardy, which he records every day. He plans on studying International Relations in the future, and hopes to work in some capacity in the field.
