Sadia Haque, Staff Reporter
Sadia Haque is a Senior Staff Reporter for ‘The Science Survey’ and a Academics Section Editor for ‘The Observatory.’ She finds journalism appealing because it allows people to remain informed about what is going on in the world. She admires reporters’ ability to search for and discover the truth to share with the people. Moreover, she commends journalists for being able to get their photographs to send a powerful message to readers. Photos, in her opinion, have the ability to reach a much wider audience than just written word; this makes them very important when it comes to reporting news. Along with her journalism work, she is also the Senior Editor of the school’s literary magazine, ‘Dynamo.’ In addition to that, she writes short stories on spare pieces of paper whenever inspiration hits. She also has a vast array of favorite book, among those being ‘The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe,’ ‘A Wrinkle in Time’ and ‘Pride and Prejudice.’ Her favorite television shows are ‘Parks and Recreation,’ ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine,’ and ‘The West Wing.’ She has a huge interest in films and enjoys watching her favorites, such as ‘Star Wars’ and ‘The Man from UNCLE,’ whenever she has time. In college, she hopes to study creative writing and history. She wants to write fiction that connects back to the real world and hopes in ten years that she is still in love with writing as she is now.
