Maggie Wong, Staff Reporter
Maggie Wong is a sidebar and captions editor for ‘The Observatory’ and a Staff Reporter for ‘The Science Survey.’ Journalism first became an interest for her at the age of ten when she started to gain an affinity towards storytelling. Journalism continues to appeal to her because it is an outlet for creative writing that is also informative. Journalists have a unique opportunity to inform the public while still being able to express themselves in their writing. Maggie’s favorite part of journalism is photographing events. Photographs can capture things that words may not always be able to explain. Outside of school, Maggie dances at The Ailey School and also studies music at the Lucy Moses School. She has always been captivated by the arts, but upon coming to Bronx Science, she has come to appreciate the sciences. In fact, she has developed a new interest in neuroscience. In the future, Maggie hopes to pursue a career that will allow her to fuse both her natural love for the arts and her new interest in the sciences.
