Irene Yimmongkol is an Arts & Entertainment editor for ‘The Science Survey.' She edits her peers’ articles that go in the Arts & Entertainment section before they are published. She enjoys journalistic writing because she loves informing others on important topics, and sharing her interests with people. Irene has always loved taking photos, and she especially loves journalistic photography. She believes that a picture can add layers of detail into a story that words can not describe. She believes that photos are a way to add an artistic edge into a story, and that they can let the writer’s personality shine. Irene’s personal interests include swimming, roller skating, traveling, and taking photographs. She is considering majoring in International Relations or journalism when she goes to college. Irene hopes to have a career that involves traveling and taking photographs. A career in journalism may be a possibility for her in the future.
