The Science Survey

Enza Jonas-Giugni, Staff Reporter

Enza Jonas-Giugni is a Features Editor for 'The Science Survey,' where she edits long-form articles on topics ranging from politics to portraits of Bronx Science students. Enza loves how writing forces her to transform nascent ideas into concrete ones, making sense of her thoughts even when they appear to be incongruent and jumbled. She views writing as a journey that ends with exposing vulnerability to the world; through journalism, Enza seeks the thrill of baring her writing to strangers, asking to be understood. When she is not in the classroom, Enza enjoys performing in cabarets and musicals with Wingspan Arts, using oratory as a platform in order to spread messages that she cares about as Captain of the Bronx Science Speech team, and conducting cellular biology research at the Yale Endocrinology and Neuroscience lab. Enza also can be found indulging her inner foodie, traversing New York City's vibrant restaurant scene, or nerding out about a Degas painting at the MET. With a passion for mathematics, history, and writing, Enza is currently undecided about what she plans to do in the future, but she hopes to take advantage of a liberal arts education and delve into interdisciplinary studies in college.
