Shira Mansell, Staff Reporter
Shira Mansell is a Copy Chief Editor for ‘The Science Survey’ and a People Reporter for ‘The Observatory.’ He enjoys the analytical and investigative components of journalistic writing along with the grammatical and research components of copy editing. Shira also enjoys photography because it changes the way he views images in general, allowing him to better appreciate artistic choices. He frequently visits museums and voraciously reads so-called classics, ranging from Ovid’s Metamorphoses to Virginia Woolf’s Orlando to H.P. Lovecraft’s “The Rats in the Walls”. He does gothic calligraphy in his free time and is attempting to teach himself Ancient Greek. Interested in Latin, art history, mythology, and linguistics, he intends to double major in classical studies and literature in college.
