Sakeef Kibria, Staff Reporter
Sakeef Kibria is a Sports Editor for ‘The Science Survey.’ As Sports Editor, he supervises the submissions of articles and oversees the editing process in the Sports section. He looks for captivating sports topics to write about, whether it is school sports or at the global level. What Sakeef finds most appealing in journalism is that it can open one to the world through the reports of events from around the world. One of Sakeef’s passions is photography, so when he takes photos for his articles, he makes sure that they are relevant to the heart of the story. He views photography as an art form; a picture alone is worth a thousand words and it can create a story within itself. Outside of school, Sakeef often spends his time sketching, whether it is a recreation of a character from a show that he has watched, or marking sketches in fashion. He loves visiting museums such as the The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) because he loves exploring art and design from the past. Sakeef believes that art from the world’s history displays the creative process that influences the way that we work in the arts as well. In college, Sakeef intends to pursue Architecture and Design. He hopes to use the skills that he has acquired to go more deeply into his own creative process.
