Benjamin Oestericher, Staff Reporter
Benjamin Oestericher is a Senior Staff Reporter for ‘The Science Survey’ and an Editor-in-Chief for ‘The Observatory.’ This is his secord year in journalism, and he was drawn to journalism from his interest in learning about, researching, and presenting local, national, and international events in a way that keeps readers informed about the issues that affect them. He believes that photography is an essential tool of journalism, capturing the sentiments of a moment in a way that words alone cannot describe. Outside of class, Benjamin is the Captain of Public Forum Debate, and enjoys listening to music, reading on the beach in Cancun, and petting the dog he will one day own, as soon as his building allows it. Benjamin is interested in studying political science and international relations in college, and he would like to someday have a role in crafting policies that can better the lives of the more marginalized.
