Savoring Senior Year
The coronavirus pandemic has certainly shaken the student population at Bronx Science, with many seniors lamenting that the crisis has caused them to miss out on what should have been their best year of high school. But even with the complete shuttering of the school halfway through march, seniors should still be proud of and reflect fondly on all the memories they made earlier this school year.
We had just enough time for our last Valentine’s Day dance where seniors Babou Gaye and Milo Novitz brought people onto the dance floor to celebrate love and camaraderie at Bronx Science.
And Will wasn’t the only senior to have fun presenting to the class – here is Akaash Sharma ’20 presenting to his AP Calculus BC class taught by Ms Lerohl.
Fun times doing labs simulating natural processes in AP Environmental Sciences taught by Dr. Schmidt. Some of the students pictured: Daiyan Tajwar ’20, Milène Klein ’20, and Jahan Okata Harrison ’20.
Though it is not my section of AP Comparative Government with Ms Shanbaum – students here at hard at work learning about the government structure of Russia and staying up to date with politics across the globe. Some students pictured here: Garreth Hui ’20, Arnav Agarwal ’20, and Cassandra Ng ’20.
Finally, a short spotlight on the teachers who teach senior classes from Conversational French to Post-AP Multivariable Calculus. It’s thanks to teachers (pictured, respectively) like Mr Blessent and Mr Perna that Bronx Science seniors can count on a great senior year whether that be in the classroom or learning remotely from home.
