The Science Survey

William Fernando
William Fernando is a Staff Reporter for ‘The Science Survey.’ He loves journalism because of its ability to share a beautiful or moving story, and he wants to share his writing with the world as well. William has a firm belief that sharing personal experiences through writing can change others’ lives and empower them to create a better world. He maintains that another beautiful thing about journalism is its ability to tell a story through pictures. William believes that the appeal of photography is derived from its being able to capture a perfect moment in time which sparks emotion in the viewer. He feels that pictures can communicate to everyone, no matter their race, religion, or even language. William takes great delight in reading a fictional book right before bedtime, journaling important events in his life, and relaxing with some TV and games on weekends. He is extremely interested in space and the unknowns of the universe and loves the thought that there is much to still discover in the universer. In college, William plans to continue in a path of science as of now, but he has no idea what the future holds for him. He still has a great love for reading and writing and one-day hopes to change the world with something that he discovers or creates.
