The Science Survey

Meriel Crowley-Wang, Staff Reporter

Meriel Crowley-Wang is an Editorial Editor for ‘The Science Survey.' She enjoys the logical way in which journalistic writing presents itself to the reader, in addition to the process of research, revision, editing, and more editing. It’s like putting the pieces of a puzzle together -- the end result is immensely satisfying. Likewise, she admires the ability of journalistic photography to convey either a range of emotions or a set of information (or sometimes even both) within a single frame. In her free time, Meriel enjoys researching obscure historical events online, reading nonfiction books, and cooking a variety of meals for her family and friends. Although Meriel is not entirely sure which she wants to pursue in college, she is eager to study either biology, with a focus on immunology and virology, or history, with the hope of going to law school. Although neither of these careers seems to include a lot of journalistic writing, she remains keen on using the skills learned in class to further develop her future work, whether it is in academia or law.
