The Science Survey

Azalea Danes
Azalea Danes is a Copy Chief for ‘The Science Survey.’ She is fascinated in honing her writing skills by reading and editing others’ work, and enjoys learning from the perspectives of her fellow classmates by reading their articles, and making ‘The Science Survey’ as polished as possible, whilst reporting current events that she believes Bronx Science students ought to know about. Azalea is a climate justice activist and implements her love for writing by working as the communications coordinator of Fridays for Future NYC and Extinction Rebellion US, and writing frequently in her free time as an editor of the school’s literary magazine, Dynamo. She has grown up reading ‘The New York Times’ and ‘The Wall Street Journal,’ and her favorite columnists include Frank Bruni, Nicholas Kristof, and Anne Barnard. She hopes to study the intersection of human rights policy, environmental studies, and classics in college.
