The Science Survey

Arona Islam
Arona Islam is a Staff Reporter for ‘The Science Survey’ and a Student Life Section Reporter for ‘The Observatory.’ She appreciates the art of journalism and is enthusiastic about exploring the world through different lenses. Arona is passionate about writing that goes beyond the typical black-and-white news; she strives to create pieces which people can become invested in and reflect on. She thoroughly enjoys photography, both observing and taking photos. She believes that photography allows an infinite number of interpretations and that its flexibility makes it one of the prime aspects of journalism. Outside of school, Arona is an avid writer, primarily writing fictional stories centering around fantasy worlds, mysteries, and slice-of-life. She plans on studying engineering in college, but hopes to take courses in journalism and photography as well.
