It’s always refreshing to see the familiar through a new lens — this is precisely what the Science Survey’s fisheye lens achieves. These unique photos reimagine Bronx Science’s landscapes, offering a zoomed-out perspective on the spaces that students navigate daily. From the committed students of AP Physics C to lively discussions in AP Human Geography, the fisheye lens reframes the experiences tied to these spaces. Hallways stretch out infinitely, classrooms transform into dynamic spheres, and the campus takes on a surreal, almost dreamlike quality.
The perspective offered by these photos provides a new understanding of life at Bronx Science. The lens differs from the typical photography landscape, as it gives a wraparound view of the environment or event. From this, viewers are able to thoroughly immerse themselves in what is being depicted, whether it be a Social Science Research classroom or a Biology Lab.
The following photos capture both the fisheye lens’ eccentric qualities as well as Bronx Science’s spirit: Inquire, Discover, Create.
